Family Law - Issuance of Marriage Licenses - Location of Marriage

Synopsis:

Repealing the territorial limitation on the validity of a marriage license issued in the State; providing that a license issued by a clerk of the circuit court for a county in the State is valid statewide; altering the contents of a marriage license to permit marriage in a county that is not the county where the clerk issued the marriage license; and authorizing the clerk of the circuit court for a county that is not the county where the marriage is to be performed to issue a marriage license.
