Education - Public Schools - Compulsory Attendance

Synopsis:

Requiring children 16 and 17 years old to attend public school regularly during the entire school year unless excused by written permission from a parent or guardian; providing that the Act does not apply to specified children; requiring a legal guardian of a child 16 or 17 years old to ensure that the child attend public school or receive instruction required by law unless the child has been excused from attending public school; and establishing specified penalties.
