Circuit Courts - Funding of Masters and Juror Per Diems

Synopsis:

Requiring circuit court standing masters hired on or after July 1, 2000, to be State employees; authorizing existing masters to elect to become State employees; requiring the State to reimburse counties for the salaries and benefits of county employed masters; increasing the State juror per diem amount from $5 to $15; requiring counties to use the fiscal savings from the Act solely to increase local expenditures for circuit court or public safety purposes; etc.
