Juveniles - Substance Abuse and Mental Health Treatment Programs - Funding

Synopsis:

Requiring the Governor to appropriate in the fiscal year 2001 budget $10,000,000 from the Cigarette Restitution Fund for treatment programs for juvenile offenders in the juvenile justice system who suffer from mental or emotional disorders or substance abuse; providing that the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene shall be the administering agency for the funds appropriated under the Act; providing that the Department may award grants to specified providers; etc.
