Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 807 - Garrett County - Garrett Information Enterprise Center Loan of 1998.

This bill extends the deadline from June 1, 2000 to June 1, 2002, for the Garrett County Commissioners to provide matching funds of up to $250,000 for the Garrett Information Enterprise Center Loan of 1998.

Senate Bill 634, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on April 25, 2000, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 807.
