Maryland Safe Haven Act of 2001

Synopsis:

Establishing procedures for the relinquishment of a newborn; requiring specified facilities to accept a relinquished newborn; establishing immunity for specified persons under the Act; establishing procedures for specified facilities accepting a relinquished newborn; establishing procedures for a natural parent to revoke the intent to relinquish a newborn; and requiring the Department of Human Resources to prepare a public information program about the process established under the Act.
