Education - Reconstituted Schools - Year-Round Operation

Synopsis:

Requiring schools that have been reconstituted by the State to operate on a year-round schedule; requiring that each student receive a minimum of a specified number of days or hours of instruction; requiring the school year to extend for a specified number of months; prohibiting a vacation period to extend for longer than a specified number of days; authorizing the modification of staff contracts to adjust for the extended school schedule; providing for the termination of the Act; etc.
