Synopsis:

Requiring a judge, before imposing a specified sentence, to consider whether a person committed an assault on a law enforcement officer in the course of a lawful arrest; and providing that a judge impose no less than a 1 year minimum sentence if a person committed an assault on a law enforcement officer in the course of a lawful arrest.
