Synopsis:

Requiring the State Board of Education to exercise general control and supervision under specified guidelines over schools in Department of Juvenile Justice facilities; substituting the State Board of Education for the Department of Juvenile Justice as the entity required to develop and provide educational programs in Department of Juvenile Justice facilities; and altering the duties of the State Advisory Board for Juvenile Justice to exclude consultation and advice on educational programs and services in Department facilities.
