Medical Assistance and Children's Health Programs - Care of Newborns

Synopsis:

Requiring the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, subject to budget limitations, to develop specified newborn care programs under the Medical Assistance and Children's Health Programs; requiring the Department to permit the self-referral of specified newborns for primary care under these Programs for up to 60 days or until the occurrence of specified events; requiring specified managed care organizations of the mother to provide coverage of specified newborn care at a specified fee for up to 60 days; etc.
