Maryland Playground Safety Act of 2001

Synopsis:

Requiring the Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, in consultation with other entities, to adopt regulations establishing standards for playgrounds that are open to the public and are operated by public and private entities; requiring the regulations adopted by the Department to include standards for the construction and operation of new playgrounds, and the upgrade or replacement of existing playgrounds by specified dates; and requiring the regulations adopted by the Department to conform to federal criteria; etc.
