Synopsis:

Altering the circumstances under which the Insurance Commissioner may take disciplinary action against a licensed medical director; requiring the Commissioner to notify the Board of Physician Quality Assurance of a specified disciplinary action taken against a licensed medical director; requiring the Board to refer a specified allegation against a medical director to an independent review organization under specified circumstances; and establishing a violation for which the Board may take specified action against a medical director.
