Public Schools - Kindergarten - Required Use of Instructional Assistants

Synopsis:

Requiring county boards of education to use instructional assistants in kindergarten; establishing the duties and limits on the duties of and specified qualifications for an instructional assistant; prohibiting an instructional assistant from working in a class under specified circumstances; requiring county superintendents of schools to adopt guidelines for the use of instructional assistants; and establishing State and local funding for instructional assistants.
