Private Passenger Automobile Insurance - Rate Making Principles - Geographic Terms

Synopsis:

Providing that if an insurer that provides private passenger automobile insurance in the State, for the purpose of establishing rates for private passenger automobile insurance, groups risks by risk consideration in classifications which are expressed in geographic terms, the rates will be deemed unfairly discriminatory under specified provisions of law if the rate charged in a geographic rating area exceeds by specified percentages the rate charged in any contiguous geographic rating area; etc.
