Schools - Individuals with Disabilities - Accessibility

Synopsis:

Requiring regulations of the Department of Housing and Community Development to require that schools in the State be accessible to individuals with disabilities by January 1, 2004; requiring a county board of education, a private school, a governing board of an institution of higher education, and the State Board of Education to make an accessibility determination and develop an accessibility plan regarding accessibility for individuals with disabilities; and establishing penalties for a violation of the Act.
