Real Property - Mortgages - Perfection of Security Interest

Synopsis:

Providing that if a security interest in a mortgage was attached or perfected before July 1, 2001, in accordance with specified law, then the interest shall continue to be perfected after July 1, 2001, without the need for additional filing; repealing a requirement that an assignment of a specified mortgage be recorded in the land records of the county where the mortgage is recorded under specified circumstances; etc.
