Death Penalty - Moratorium

Synopsis:

Prohibiting execution of the death penalty from July 1, 2001, to June 30, 2002; prohibiting issuance of a warrant of execution from July 1, 2001, to June 30, 2002; providing that a warrant of execution issued before July 1, 2001, that has not been executed before July 1, 2001, is suspended and the individual may not be executed before July 1, 2002; and construing the Act not to affect other laws concerning the death penalty.
