Entitled:
Captive Audience/Stop Commercialism in Schools Act of 2001

Synopsis:

Requiring county boards of education to develop and adopt policies related to marketing and advertising in public schools; requiring a county board to submit specified policies to the State Department of Education by August 1, 2002; prohibiting contracts for the exclusive sale of vending machines; limiting the term of vending machine contracts; prohibiting commercial advertising on school buses; etc.
