Trapping - Leghold Traps - Restrictions on Use

Synopsis:

Prohibiting the use of specified leghold traps in the trapping of animals, except under specified circumstances; prohibiting the sale, purchase, barter, or exchange of the raw fur of an animal trapped with specified traps; authorizing the Department of Natural Resources to issue a permit for the use of padded leghold traps under specified circumstances; requiring a person using a specified permit to check traps at least once every 24 hours; providing for specified penalties; etc.
