Maryland Health and Higher Educational Facilities Authority - Community Colleges - Tax Exempt Financing

Synopsis:

Modifying the term "institution for higher education" under the Maryland Health and Higher Educational Facilities Authority (MHHEFA) Act to include specified community colleges; authorizing the boards of trustees of community colleges to finance or refinance the costs of specified projects by entering into agreements with MHHEFA; providing that the principal amount of a note, the interest payable on the note, the transfer of the note, and any income derived from the transfer of the note are exempt from taxation by specified entities; etc.
