Health Insurance Expansion Initiative of 2001

Synopsis:

Expanding eligibility under the Maryland Medical Assistance Program for specified low-income parents under specified conditions; requiring the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene to create a Low-income Employee Private Insurance Assistance Program for specified employees; requiring an employer under the Program to make a specified contribution to premiums or costs; providing for the application of the Act; requiring a report from the Maryland Health Care Commission; etc.
