Abortions - Statistical Reporting Requirement

Synopsis:

Requiring physicians and health care providers to report to the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene information on a monthly basis about abortions; providing for patient and physician confidentiality; requiring the Department to prepare and submit an annual statistical report to the General Assembly; providing for public disclosure of the annual reports; requiring an additional report for complications from abortion; establishing sanctions for noncompliance; creating an exception for specified hospitals; etc.
