Citizens' Protection Act of 2002

Synopsis:

Altering the requirements and procedures for application for, and issuance of, a handgun permit; authorizing the holder of a permit to carry a handgun for self-defense; eliminating the requirement that the holder have a good and substantial reason to carry a handgun; specifying that the holder may conceal the handgun in a specified manner; altering and eliminating specified fees; requiring specified information on a specified application form; establishing procedures for renewal or replacement of a permit; etc.
