Criminal Injuries Compensation Fund - Property Damage to Cemeteries - Claim

Synopsis:

Expanding the definition of claimant for money in the Criminal Injuries Compensation Fund to include a permanent cemetery which sustains property damage to gravestones or monuments as a result of a crime or delinquent act committed within the cemetery; providing that the cemetery is eligible to file a claim up to $5,000 for expenses reasonably incurred for repair of the gravestones or monuments; providing a time period of 5 years after the criminal act within which the cemetery may make the claim; etc.
