Synopsis:

Authorizing insurers and nonprofit health service plans to offer a limited benefits policy that excludes mandated health insurance benefits from coverage under the policy; requiring insurers and nonprofit health service plans to provide prospective policyholders with a specified disclosure statement before issuing a limited benefits policy; and requiring prospective policyholders to sign an acknowledgment statement that the individual received and understood the disclosure statement.
