Insurance - Proposed Premium Increase - Protest

Synopsis:

Authorizing an insured to protest a proposed insurance policy premium increase of 20% or more; altering the form of the premium increase notice that must be sent; providing that a protest by the insured stays the premium increase and coverage level until a final determination is made by the Insurance Commissioner; requiring the Insurance Commissioner to notify the insurer upon receipt of a protest; providing that a dismissal of the protest by the Insurance Commissioner constitutes a final determination; etc.
