Mental Hygiene - Emergency Evaluations

Synopsis:

Adding a specified requirement to be included in a petition for an emergency evaluation; requiring a peace officer given a petition to explain the penalties of perjury to the petitioner; prohibiting a peace officer from enforcing the petition and requiring the officer to forward the petition to the State's Attorney of the appropriate county under specified circumstances; providing that the Act does not preclude specified legal actions; etc.
