Synopsis:

Requiring the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to designate specified health care practitioners to determine whether an individual requires nursing facility services; requiring specified health care practitioners to certify that an individual is chronically ill for the purpose of determining eligibility for nursing facility services; establishing specified tests to determine if an individual is chronically ill; requiring the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to adopt specified regulations; etc.
