Handgun Permits - Victims of Domestic Violence

Synopsis:

Requiring the Secretary of the State Police, on application, to issue without investigation or further action a permit to carry a handgun to specified victims of domestic violence who are issued an ex parte order, protective order, or peace order; requiring applicants for a permit to meet specified requirements; providing for the term and renewal of a permit; and requiring a domestic violence victim who is issued a permit to notify the Secretary of specified criminal charges and convictions or specified medical treatment.
