Insurance - Life Settlement Act

Synopsis:

Requiring a person to obtain a license from the Maryland Insurance Commissioner before the person acts as a provider, sales agent, or broker in the State in connection with a life settlement contract or a purchase agreement; prohibiting the use of a person to perform specified functions unless the person holds a specified license; requiring an applicant for a license to file an application in a specified manner, pay a fee of $150, and submit specified information and documentation to the Commissioner; etc.
