Elderly or Disabled Tenants - Out-of-Service Elevators

Synopsis:

Requiring a landlord or a landlord's agent to repair an out-of-service elevator located in a multifamily dwelling in which an elderly or disabled tenant resides within 48 hours of notification; and authorizing the Commissioner of Labor and Industry to assess a fine not exceeding $250 for each day an elevator is out of service.
