Firearms Offenses - Project Exile

Synopsis:

Making it a felony to use a firearm in specified ways on school property; prohibiting a District Court commissioner from authorizing the pretrial release of a defendant charged with a crime of violence; increasing specified criminal penalties for a person who is convicted of possessing a regulated firearm after having been previously convicted of a crime of violence or a felony; allowing the State to apply to the Court of Special Appeals for leave to appeal an order of the circuit court setting the specifications of bail; etc.
