Civil Actions - Enforcement of Prompt Payment of Claims

Synopsis:

Clarifying that a specified provision of law requiring payment of interest on specified claims that remain unpaid after a specified period of time may be enforced by filing specified civil actions; prohibiting a person that files a specified action from filing a specified complaint with the Insurance Commissioner; requiring the award of specified attorney fees; and generally relating to civil remedies.
