Entitled:
Optometrists - Quality Eye Health Improvement Act

Synopsis:

Repealing specified limitations on the words, abbreviations, or titles that may be attached to a licensed optometrist's name; altering the requirements for certification as a therapeutically certified optometrist; altering the practice responsibilities of an optometrist; altering specified provisions of law requiring the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene to adopt regulations; and requiring the State Board of Examiners in Optometry to monitor the quality of care of therapeutically certified optometrists.
