Public-Private Partnership for Health Coverage for All Marylanders

Synopsis:

Expanding eligibility under the Maryland Medical Assistance Program to parents at or below a specified income, subject to certain limitations; including uninsured individuals in the Maryland Pharmacy Discount Program; including all individuals under a certain age in the Maryland Children's Health Program; imposing the insurance premiums tax on health maintenance organizations; altering the tobacco tax rate for cigarettes; renaming the Maryland Health Insurance Plan to be MdCare; etc.
