Public Charter School Act of 2003

Synopsis:

Establishing the Maryland Public Charter School Program; defining "public charter school"; establishing the primary public charter granting authority in a county board of education; establishing the secondary public charter granting authority in the State Board of Education acting in its appeal review capacity or as the public chartering authority for a restructured school under specified circumstances; establishing public charter school application requirements; establishing an appeals process; etc.
