Maryland Debt Management Services Act

Synopsis:

Prohibiting a person from providing debt management services to specified consumers unless licensed by the Commissioner of Financial Regulation or exempt from licensing under the Act; authorizing the Commissioner to take specified actions to carry out the Act; requiring the Commissioner by regulation to establish specified fees; establishing a Debt Management Services Fund; establishing qualifications for an applicant for a license; etc.
