Establishing the crime of assault against a law enforcement officer as
an assault in the second degree; prohibiting a person from
intentionally causing or attempting to cause physical injury to
another person knowing or having reason to know that the other person
is a law enforcement officer engaged in the performance of specified
duties; providing that the District Court has jurisdiction that is
concurrent with a circuit court in specified criminal cases involving
assault against law enforcement officers; etc.
