Synopsis:

Renaming the State Board of Physician Quality Assurance (Board) to be the State Board of Physicians (Board); continuing the Board in accordance with the provisions of the Maryland Program Evaluation Act by extending the termination of the Board until July 1, 2007; adding members to the Board; requiring the Board to enter into a written contract with a nonprofit entity or entities to provide investigation, physician rehabilitation, and peer review services; etc.
