Procurement - Alternative Fuel and Electric-Hybrid Vehicles

Synopsis:

Requiring that, of the new passenger cars, light trucks, and buses purchased by the State or a political subdivision of the State beginning in fiscal year 2005 and each subsequent fiscal year, at least 50% of the vehicles use alternative fuel or be electric-hybrid vehicles; requiring the Secretary of Budget and Management and specified local governing bodies to submit a specified report to the General Assembly on or before June 30, 2005; defining specified terms; etc.
