Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed Senate Bill 99 - State Acupuncture Board - Sunset Extension and Program Evaluation - Licensure Requirements.

This bill continues the State Acupuncture Board in accordance with the provisions of the Maryland Program Evaluation Act until July 1, 2015 the termination provisions relating to the statutory and regulatory authority of the Board.

House Bill 34, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 99.
