Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed Senate Bill 563 - Natural Resources - Task Force to Study the Feasibility of Licensing Boaters - Establishment.

This bill establishes the Task Force to Study the Feasibility of Licensing Boaters in the State and requires the Task Force to study specified policy, administrative, security, and economic issues surrounding the establishment of a State boating license and to make appropriate recommendations.

House Bill 442, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 563.
