Hospitals - Medical Residency Education Programs - Resident and Intern Duty Hours

Synopsis:

Requiring hospitals that offer medical residency education programs to comply with the duty hour requirements established by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education; requiring that hospitals develop and implement policies to provide medical residents and interns with an opportunity to sleep for a minimum of 4 hours within each 24-hour time period on duty; etc.
