Abortion - The Women's Health Protection Act

Synopsis:

Including facilities that perform abortion services in the definition of "freestanding ambulatory care facility"; requiring a qualified individual to screen a pregnant woman before an abortion may be provided by evaluating the presence of risk factors such as a family history of breast cancer, a history of prior abortion, and moral or religious convictions against abortion; requiring the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to maintain an Abortion Information Depository that contains specified information; etc.
