Medical Assistance Program - Payments to Nursing Homes - Penalties

Synopsis:

Requiring the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) to reimburse a nursing home for medical care provided to a Medical Assistance Program recipient within 30 days from the date that the Department of Human Resources determines that an individual is eligible for the Program; requiring DHMH to make a specified interest payment to a nursing home if payment is not received from DHMH within the 30-day time frame; prohibiting DHMH from requiring a nursing home to make an additional claim for the interest payment; etc.
