Frederick County - Sheriff - Appointment of Medical Advisor

Synopsis:

Authorizing the sheriff of Frederick County to appoint a physician licensed to practice in the State as a medical advisor for that county and to define the role of the medical advisor; granting the medical advisor limited authority to exercise specified police powers in connection with catastrophic health emergencies; requiring the Police Training Commission to set standards for the certification of the medical advisor and to certify a medical advisor; providing for the termination of the Act; etc.
