Child in Need of Assistance - Habitual Truancy

Synopsis:

Altering the definition of "child in need of assistance" to include a child who is required by law to attend school and is habitually truant; altering the definition of "child in need of supervision" by repealing the element of habitual truancy; and authorizing a school system representative to notify the local department of social services that a student has been habitually truant without lawful excuse.
