Medical Assistance Program - Payments to Providers - Penalties

Synopsis:

Requiring the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to pay a nursing home or an eligible provider for medical care provided to a Medical Assistance Program recipient within 30 days from the date that the individual is determined to be eligible for the Program; requiring DHMH to make a specified interest payment to a nursing home or eligible provider under specified circumstances; prohibiting DHMH from requiring a nursing home or eligible provider to make an additional claim for a certain interest payment; etc.
