Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 438 - Prince George's County - Palmer Park Boys and Girls Club Loan of 2001.

This bill amends Chapter 680 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2001, as amended by Chapter 32 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2003, to extend the time by which the Board of Directors of the Palmer Park Boys and Girls Club, Inc. must provide a matching fund, for the Prince George's County - Palmer Park Boys and Girls Club Loan of 2001, from June 1, 2004, to June 1, 2005. Senate Bill 255, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on April 13, 2004, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 438.
