Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 522 - Baltimore County - Alcoholic Beverages - Hunt Valley Commercial/Mixed Use Focal Point.

This bill authorizes the Baltimore County Board of License Commissioners to transfer two beer, wine and liquor (on-sale) retail alcoholic beverages licenses, in existence in Election District 15, into the Hunt Valley Commercial/Mixed Use Focal Point. It requires the licenses to be converted into Class B (HV) restaurant beer, wine and liquor licenses.

Senate Bill 201, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on April 27, 2004, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 522.
